With the recent reveal of the June LEGO® store calendar, we were treated to the first look at a new NINJAGO BrickHeadz triple pack set. The calendar also highlighted the odd way in which you’ll be able to get the set, with the set being available for $10 with purchases of LEGO NINJAGO products over $85 only in LEGO Brand Stores. Like many other LEGO fans, I was unsure exactly how the set would be available. Is it a store exclusive? Will it be available to buy at full RRP as well as via the $10 promotion? Well, we have an answer direct from the LEGO Group and unfortunately, it’s not good. The LEGO Shop Team have confirmed that set 40490 set will only be available as a promotional item during the month of June. Any remaining stock will be opened up for purchase at full price ($29.99) after July 1st. Once available for purchase it is planned to be available through LEGO Brand stores, certified stores, Merlin stores and LEGO.com. So there is a possibility you’ll be able to get the set but it all depends on how well the promotion goes in stores. I must admit this is very disappointing, especially after the backlash from The LEGO Movie 2 BrickHeadz. The promotion could have at least have also been offered online.
