BILLUND, DENMARK, 3 NOVEMBER 2026: For over 70 years, his roar has signaled the arrival of something colossal. Now, Legendary’s Monsterverse Godzilla enters the LEGO Group portfolio with the LEGO® Ideas Godzilla (21375) set: a towering, 5,363-piece tribute to the King of Monsters and the largest LEGO Ideas model ever launched.
Capturing one of cinema’s most legendary kaiju, the new set invites builders to unleash their imagination and bring the Titan to life, piece by piece. Since first emerging on screen in 1954, Godzilla has roared through more than seven decades of film, television, comics, games and collectibles. The LEGO Ideas Godzilla set celebrates that remarkable journey, giving fans a new way to build and connect with a character that has remained a testament to the power of storytelling.
Designed with drama in mind, the built model stands over 70cm (27.5 in) tall when posed with its Heat Ray, commanding attention as a powerful display piece. To underline the model’s immense scale, a LEGO Minifigure reaches only as high as Godzilla’s ankle.
The set has been crafted to capture Godzilla’s unmistakable presence from every angle. Textured scaly skin, jagged dorsal fins and a sweeping tail illustrate the creature’s imposing form, while his adjustable shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers allow fans to manoeuvre the Monster into poses fit for any battle. Builders can also swap the tongue for the included Heat Ray element, recreating Godzilla’s iconic upward roar and adding a dramatic burst of spectacle to the finished display.
The LEGO Ideas Godzilla product idea was submitted by New York-based Fan Designer Matthew Esposito (LEGO Ideas username: MattE720), via the LEGO Ideas crowdsourcing platform. Once published, it achieved the landmark 10,000 vote status and following the rigorous selection process by the LEGO Ideas Review Board, was approved to be made into an official LEGO set.
Matthew Esposito comments: “Building LEGO Godzilla was a real passion project. I’ve loved both LEGO building and Godzilla for years, so I wanted to capture his shape, scale and character as accurately as I could. The head was definitely the biggest challenge, but seeing the model come together and eventually reach 10,000 supporters after more than two years was incredible. I’m so grateful to everyone who supported the project and helped make this dream a reality.”
“We were thrilled to partner with the LEGO Group to bring our titan to life in brick form,” said Amber Sheppo, SVP, Consumer Products & Partnerships at Legendary Entertainment. “From Matthew’s original vision to this truly epic creation, the LEGO Group has been an incredible partner every step of the way.”
The reveal of this Black Friday exclusive set coincides with the LEGO Group’s Black Friday/Cyber Monday (BFCM) kick-off event and Godzilla Day, and lines up with the theatrical release of Godzilla Minus Zero. Fans are invited to join the official LEGO BFCM reveal livestream, on 3 November at 12pm ET / 9am PT / 5pm GMT on LEGO.com/live/black-friday, where they can get closer to the colossal new model and hear more about how Godzilla was brought to life in LEGO brick form. The livestream will offer fans the chance to hear directly from LEGO Designers Jordan David Scott and Jim Clayton, as well as LEGO Ideas fan designer Matthew Esposito, during a live Q&A. Additionally, LEGO Insiders** will be offered the opportunity to enter a LEGO Insiders sweepstake for a chance to win a signed set and have a first look at the Godzilla poster reward.
In addition, shoppers who purchase the new set between 27 – 30 November 2026 via LEGO.com/Godzilla or LEGO Stores will receive the LEGO Ideas Godzilla Logo and Footprint set (40888) as a Gift with Purchase*. The 359-piece build recreates the recognisable Godzilla logo against a cityscape backdrop, complete with authentic details including rival Mothra perched on one of the buildings, alongside a brick-built footprint, the exact size of the foot on the LEGO Ideas Godzilla set.
Builders can also use the LEGO Builder app, which includes 3D digital instructions, zoom and rotate tools and progress tracking to support every stage of the construction.
The LEGO Ideas Godzilla (21375) set will be available from 27 November 2026 via LEGO.com/Godzilla and LEGO Stores, priced at £349.99 GBP / €399.99 EUR / $449.99 USD.
