Back in 1990, the Hubble Space Telescope was launched into orbit to capture images of the cosmos and help understand the universe around us. Now the famous telescope has been recreated in this new LEGO® Icons set. It’s not the first time the Hubble Space Telescope has appeared in LEGO form, but it is the first time it’s been recreated in such detail. The 1252-piece set features removable exterior panels which reveal a detailed instrument bay depicting gyroscopes along with primary and secondary mirrors. The set also includes solar arrays, antennas, an aperture door and a stand, complete with an information plaque. The LEGO Icons Hubble Space Telescope will be available from August 1st.
