With Gamescom currently taking place in Cologne, some extra details about LEGO® Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight have been revealed, including some ‘pre-alpha’ gameplay. As mentioned during the game’s reveal during Opening Night Live, the game will take place in an open-world Gotham and will feature moments from past Batman adventures. But instead of becoming different versions of The Bat, it appears the game’s version of the Dark Knight will experience those moments. The game will also include different difficulty settings, offering something new for gamers who like a challenge. But from the trailer and gameplay footage from GameSpot, it appears the game’s biggest inspiration is Rocksteady’s Arkham games. They defined comic book games; I wouldn’t be surprised if they advised TT Games during the development of the game. Although it’s currently unknown if more characters beyond those mentioned will be playable, there will be plenty of outfits and vehicles to collect.
