Gotta Build ‘Em All – LEGO Pokémon Theme Announced

After bringing the worlds of Mario, Animal Crossing and the Legend of Zelda to life with LEGO® bricks, another iconic Nintendo games series is getting the LEGO treatment. Today, the LEGO Group and the Pokémon Company have officially announced a new LEGO theme inspired by the Pokémon series. The series debuted in 1996 as a GameBoy game and became a cultural phenomenon spawning a TV show, movies, trading card series and numerous games. Now the world of Pokémon can add LEGO sets to its line-up. The tease shows Pikachu’s tail crafted from LEGO bricks, but we have yet to see what the sets will offer. After the success of the other Nintendo properties replicated with LEGO bricks, it’s safe to assume the new theme will honour the source material nicely. The sets will launch in 2026.

Billund, Denmark, March 18, 2025: Today, the LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International announced a new multi-year partnership that will bring LEGO® Pokémon™ to fans for the first time from 2026.

Since the debut of the Pokémon franchise, fans have dreamed of becoming Pokémon Trainers, and now they can take that experience even further… one brick at a time.
