Thanks to an uncovered link to a now removed LEGO® Meet the Designer event on LEGO.com, it’s all but confirmed that there is a new LEGO Icons Lord of the Rings set on the way. The set is inspired by Hobbiton, home to Bilbo and Frodo Baggins and offers a new take on their home at Bag’s End. The set features moments from the first Lord of the Rings film, during Bilbo’s birthday party. It’s best described as a ‘UCS’ series version of the Hobbit set, An Unexpected Gathering, shown below, which holds a special place in my heart. No further details have been revealed.
