Creating The LEGO Formula 1 Trophies

During last weekend’s British Grand Prix, the podium-placed drivers and the winning constructor team were each presented with a trophy made from LEGO elements. The 1st place and constructors’ trophies comprised of nearly 2,717 LEGO elements each, with the 2nd and 3rd place trophies comprising of 2,298 LEGO elements each. Now, the LEGO Group has offered a few extra details on how they were created. LEGO Design Lead, Samual Johnson, discusses how the unique trophies were created.
