40812: Snowman Ornaments Set Review
For many years, LEGO Christmas ornaments have featured minibuilds enclosed in baubles. More recently, these builds have gotten a little bigger, slightly more complex and broken free of the transparent shells to offer fully brick-built decorations. The latest are the Snowman Ornaments, and here’s a quick look at another of the 2025 Christmas LEGO sets. Product Details Set Name: Snowman Ornaments | Set Number: 40812 | Pieces: 168 |...
40809: Festive Gingerbread House Set Review
There are many different symbols of the festive period, but one of the tastiest is gingerbread. The slightly spiced sweet treats have been used to create decorations and structures such as houses. Gingerbread has also been the focus of several Christmas LEGO® sets, including the upcoming Star Wars AT-AT. But the set, which is the focus of this review, is a little more traditional. Here’s an early look around the Festive Gingerbread...
40820: Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure Set Review
The concept of buildable characters is new, but upscaled minifigures have been a fairly recent addition. The upscaled minifigures began with a pair of Harry Potter characters before a pirate-themed LEGO House set, a generic minifigure and most recently a race car driver. The latest upscaled minifigure is part of the 2025 Christmas line-up and transformed Santa into a bigger, displayable ‘up-scaled’ minifigure. Here’s a closer look at...
40806: Gingerbread AT-AT Walker Set Review
The LEGO® Star Wars universe has a surprising affinity for the festive period. Along with several years’ worth of LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendars, in 2020, Disney+ aired an animated special dubbed the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special. This used Life Day as a backdrop for festive celebrations in a galaxy far, far away. The special was accompanied by the first retail Christmas Star Wars set, featuring a festively decorated section...
41843: Family Christmas Tree Decoration Review
For many years, LEGO® bricks have been used to celebrate seasonal moments. One such occasion is Christmas. Over the years, the festive period has been commemorated with small novelties, including scenes and decorations. Ever-growing festive displays have been shaped with the beloved Winter Village sets, and the countdown to Christmas has been marked with a range of brick-filled Advent Calendars. This year has seen the LEGO Group step...
80116: Trotting Lantern Set Review
In the last of my LEGO® Spring Festival set reviews, it’s the turn of the largest of the 2025 sets, Trotting Lantern. As with all Chinese New Year sets, this is another deeply rooted in tradition and cultural relevance. Lanterns are often associated with Chinese culture and are mostly used as illumination. They are also used in different forms as a means of celebration. Floating lanterns are released into the air as a means of...
80117: Good Fortune Set Review
Since 2013, the LEGO Group has celebrated the Chinese New Year with the annual ‘Year of the…’ animal promotional set. Then in 2019, the celebration of the Spring Festival was expanded to include large-scale sets similar in scope to the LEGO® Icons Winter Village Collection. Over the past couple of years, the Spring Festival sets have comprised of a playset, an object and a smaller set. This year’s...
