43175: Disney’s Frozen Storybook Adventure Set Review
Now I don’t think I’m in the target audience for LEGO® Disney Princess sets. However I do enjoy checking out sets which feature new elements, unique builds and different concepts. So when the new Disney Storybooks sets were revealed, I thought they ticked all those boxes. These new Disney Princess sets are based on four different Disney classics, including Frozen, Beauty & the Beast, The Little Mermaid and Mulan. They...
60249: LEGO City Street Sweeper Set Review
Much like the Ice-Cream Truck I reviewed over the weekend, the little LEGO® City Street Sweeper is another set which makes a nice change for the many LEGO City Police and Fire sets we get get each year. It’s also one of the smallest of the new LEGO City sets being released on December 26th. Unlike the Ice-Cream Truck, Street Sweepers have been a little more prevalent in the LEGO City line, appearing in everything from polybags...
LEGO Xtra 40375 & 40376 Sets Review
Last year a new LEGO® theme was introduced called xtra. The range features products which are intended to be added to other LEGO sets and builds to enhance play. In the New Year two additional sets will join the range, one featuring sports accessories and the other plant based accessories. These Polybag sets features a selection of elements, some of which can be built into little minibuilds, with others being accessories for...
31101: LEGO Creator Monster Truck Set Review
LEGO® Creator 3-in-1 sets offer a build, which is close to how LEGO sets of old use to be. Not tied to a license or story. Often without Minifigures and with the ability to create different builds from the same bricks. One of the smaller of the new 2020 LEGO Creator 3-in-1 sets is another Monster Truck, this time without any delicious treats on board. Instead there are a trio stunt show themed creations, joining the Monster Truck is a...
40436: Lucky Cat BrickHeadz Review
I’ve always been a fan of LEGO® BrickHeadz, these collectible little sets have recreated a number of famous characters into uniquely styled LEGO sets. For last few years they have also been the used as the special LEGO seasonal sets, which are based around various holidays and occasions. During 2019 BrickHeadz went a little quiet, with many assuming they would be retired come 2020. However BrickHeadz will continue into the new...
LEGO Builder’s Journey Review
LEGO® and videogames were once mortal enemies, that was until it was decided, if you can’t beat them, join them. For a number of years now LEGO sets, character and products have been the inspiration for a number of LEGO game outings, from classics like LEGO Island to upcoming titles like LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga. LEGO elements lend themselves well to the world of gaming, and they have appeared to numerous different...
42102: LEGO Technic Mini CLAAS XERION Set Review
Back in 2016, LEGO® partnered with German agricultural machinery manufacturer CLAAS to recreate their XERION tractor as a Power Function LEGO Technic fuelled set. Although that set has long been retired, it has inspired another LEGO Technic set. However this one is a little on the smaller side. The CLAAS tractor is known for their unique green livery, tinged with streaks of red and white. All of these have been capture in the smaller...
