BricksFanz Weekly Recap August 17th – 23rd
It’s been a busy few days thanks to DC FanDome, currently taking place online. Although there hasn’t been much in terms of LEGO-related news from the event, there are two exclusive products, doing the rounds. However, the various movies, games and TV shows being revealed at the event, could influence or inspire product LEGO® products. Beyond DC Comics, the LEGO Harry Potter Minifigures have been officially revealed despite...
LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Students Minifigures Review
With the Wizarding World of Harry Potter continues to prove extremely popular in LEGO® form, one of the latest sets in the range is a new Minifigure pack. These sort of packs have been available for a few years now and continue various characters, accessories and often a minibuild of some sorts. The Hogwarts Student accessory pack includes four characters, each representing a different house of Hogwarts and a bookcase minibuild. So as...
31199: Marvel Studios Iron Man LEGO Art Review
LEGO® Art is an interesting new theme, introduced earlier this month. It’s also part of the new 18+ range of sets, which are solely aimed at adult LEGO fans or AFOLs. However, LEGO Art has an appeal beyond the average LEGO fan. This is partly due to the subject matter of each set and the process of building them, which is unlike the average build. They also offer an addition of an accompanying ‘soundtrack’ which is...
71361: LEGO Super Mario Character Packs Review

The blind bagged mini sets feature one of ten collectible characters from a...

The NES was Nintendo’s first major global home console release. Originally known as the Famicom in its home country of Japan, it would later get a new name and a new look...
LEGO Super Mario Sets Review Round-up
Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been busy building and reviewing the new LEGO® Super Mario sets. That’s every single expansion set, the Starter Course and the Power-up suits. If you haven’t been following the reviews there is a handy Round-up below. But this is also a good time to offer my overall opinion on this interesting new theme. For many years, fans of both Nintendo and LEGO have yearned for the iconic...
71369: Bowser’s Castle Boss Battle Set Review
For every good guy, there is an equally bad one somewhere nearby. For as long as Mario has been jumping around the Mushroom Kingdom, Bowser hasn’t been far behind or should that be ahead. If there is one thing Nintendo does well it has a good old boss fight. Be it leaping over fireballs and taking him out on a bridge or swinging him around by his tail, Mario and Bowser have a long-standing grudge. Often fighting for the...
