76940: T. rex Dinosaur Fossil Exhibition Set Review
It’s been a while since we’ve visited Jurassic World on the big screen. But thankfully Netflix has given us our dino fix with 3 seasons of the animated series Camp Cretaceous. The surprisingly good show follows the adventures of a group of kids who get left behind on Isla Nublar after the events of the first Jurassic World film. The characters and stories from the show are perfectly suited for the LEGO treatment. Oddly,...
LEGO Creator Fiat 500 Blue & Yellow Compared
Last year the LEGO® Creator theme launched a Pale Yellow version of the Fiat 500 car. Earlier this week the same vehicle was re-released in Light Royal Blue as part of a UK only product pilot. The set is only available from UK LEGO stores, from LEGO.com for residents of the UK and Ireland, as well as being available through Zavvi. After already owning the 2020 yellow Fiat 500, I had to get this variant version. But how do they...
76177: Battle At The Ancient Village Set Review
Although the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe kicked off with Black Widow, the next big-screen MCU outing really moves things forward. Shang-Chi introduces a brand new hero to the mix but also has connections to the birth of the MCU. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is heavily steeped in Asian culture and one of the two sets inspired by the film is evident if that. The Great Protector is a serpent-like dragon,...
40512: Fun & Funky VIP Add-on Pack Hands-on
Unfortunately, I wasn’t one of the chosen few who received the fabled codes for the LEGO® VIP Add-on pack pilot currently running in the UK. But Alan aka Itsabrickthing did receive the code for the first pack which is dubbed Fun & Funky. So over for Al for his thoughts on the first set. I was lucky enough to be chosen for the new add on packs that have been circulating around LEGO fans recently. I found an email from the...
71031: LEGO Minifigures Marvel Studio Series Review
Since their introduction over 10 years ago, the collectible range of LEGO® Minifigures has become a much-loved LEGO product. Over the preceding years, character count has decreased and they have expanded beyond original characters to include licensed characters from popular films or TV series. Now almost 10 years since the super heroes and villains of the Marvel universe leapt into LEGO sets, they have become the stars of the...
40487: LEGO Ideas Sailboat Adventure Review
As well as offering budding builders the chance to have their LEGO creations become buyable sets, LEGO Ideas has also branched out to craft smaller promotional sets. In recent years these have included a Space Rocket Ride and a Vintage Car. The latest set to join the LEGO Ideas GWP line-up is the Sailboat Adventure. Back in 2020, LEGO fans were tasked with creating a set that was inspired by the holidays themed for a LEGO Ideas...
71394: LEGO Super Mario Series 3 Character Packs Review
The Mushroom Kingdom is filled with all sorts of incidental characters. As Mario heads off on new adventures, new enemies appear to cause all manner of trouble. The various LEGO® Super Mario Expansion Packs feature some of these foes with some of the lesser-known ones captured in LEGO form in the Character Pack series. Similar to LEGO Minifigures, these blind bagged mini sets feature one of ten different collectible characters from a...
