Epic Star Wars: The Mandalorian build and Grogu review in Blocks magazine

We want to see the baby! Blocks magazine Issue 126 is reviewing 75403 Grogu with Hover Pram and building an absolute massive diorama depicting Moff Gideon’s Imperial base on Mandalore. There’s also a Build & Chat interview with Lucy Bilgin, who explains how she became a Star Wars model designer.

Issue 126 is available worldwide now as part of a subscription or as a single issue at blocksmag.com and will be in UK stores from April 3.

Subscription prices are frozen! The cover price increases this month, so be sure to take out a print subscription at blocksmag.com to lock in the current price and beat the increase. (For example, UK customers can save up to £2 per magazine by subscribing!)

We’re giving away 75403 Grogu with Hover Pram! To be in with a chance of winning, take out a subscription before April 30, 2025.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian may have been the first small screen live action adventure from a galaxy far, far away, but its scale has grown more ambitious with each new instalment. Season 3’s awe-inspiring finale saw Din Djarin and Bo Katan attack Moff Gideon’s secret base on Mandalore – and this month’s Blocks features an epic recreation of the location in LEGO bricks.

Model Designer Lucy Bilgin started her brick career with a 25th anniversary edition of the LEGO Star Wars advent calendar – she explains how her talent and education led to her joining the design team and discusses what it’s like to recreate vehicles and characters from the saga.

The Force is with the Reviews section too, which covers 75403 Grogu with Hover Pram, plus 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor and 75402 ARC-170 Starfighter. There’s also a look at Minecraft, Disney and Marvel models this month.

No-one has space for all of these sets though, so there are instructions to build mini versions of two impressive recent releases – 21354 Twilight The Cullen House and 31215 Vincent van Gogh – Sunflowers.

In an exclusive interview, the designers behind the LEGO Art interpretation of Sunflowers reveal the creative journey they went on to capture the feel of the renowned painting whilst hinting at the story of its creation through the build process. The feature provides fascinating insights into how Art is evolving as a theme.

There’s plenty more besides in this month’s 116-page magazine, including a look at the UK debut of Brick Wrecks, amazing insect MOCs, the top ten minifigures who use dark magic and much, much more.

The Blocks Book of Retro LEGO Sets Volume II is also available now! It’s a wonderful look back at classic LEGO sets from the 1980s and 1990s, with spotlights on specific models, exclusive build instructions, interviews with people who worked at the LEGO Group back in the day and Q&As with talented builders inspired by the vintage themes.

Blocks is giving away 75403 Grogu with Hover Pram! To be entered into the prize draw and to get Blocks magazine delivered every month – ahead of the shops – visit www.blocksmag.com and check out the money-saving subscription deals available.

For entry into the prize draw, you must have an active Blocks subscription at 11.59pm UK time on April 30, 2025 (existing subscribers will automatically be entered into the prize draw).
