Just as I’d begun writing a feature alluding to the possible end of LEGO® Fortnite Odyssey, Epic Games has announced a roadmap of updates coming to the game. Later this week will see the biggest change with the introduction of Quick Builds. This will allow you to instantly place any of your owned or unlocked LEGO kits. This will make creating large-scale developments much quicker. This will become the default build option, but you can still choose to use the current Guilded Builds if you wish. Next month will see new builds and in-game toys introduced. Later this year will also add more new builds, the ability to edit builds and save builds, so if you build something, you can easily add to it or build it again. It’s not clear if new builds will be tied to in-game quests or Item Shop purchases. Recently, a new LEGO Pass was delayed until October, so they won’t be purely tied to that. Two fan creations will also be added to the game this week and could become a regular way to explore new content. More details on this update to LEGO Fortnite will drop alongside the new gaming-themed season, coming this Thursday.
