Next month with see Disney’s annual D23 Expo return to Anaheim. The fan event is an ultimate celebration of Disney and a number of it’s entertainment brands such as Marvel, 20th Century Studios and Star Wars. It’s the latter will be debating an all-new LEGO animation event. On August 15th there will be a screening of what’s being billed as “an all-new LEGO Star Wars animated adventure filled with iconic characters, unexpected laughs, and action-packed fun. Perfect for Star Wars and LEGO fans of all ages”. Although no further details have been provided, its safe to assume it will be some sort of animated LEGO Star Wars special or series for Disney+. The Disney streaming platform has seen several original LEGO Star Wars adventures in recent years such as the Holiday Special, Summer Vacation, Terrifying Tales and Rebuild the Galaxy. It’s possible that it could continue to Rebuild the Galaxy story, with the first series debuting in September 2024 with a second series streaming September 2025. Beyond LEGO D23 may offer the first look at upcoming Marvel and Star Wars projects will could offer a hint at future LEGO sets.
