Despite several drivers moaning about having to participate in the Driver’s Parade around Silverstone in LEGO® karts, all 22 drivers did complete a lap ahead of today’s British Grand Prix. Each single-seater minicar was made from over 28,000 LEGO bricks and was capable of reaching speeds of up to 25km/h; however, they were no match for the gravel embankments. Although this may seem like frivolous, ‘childish’ fun, unbecoming of an F1 driver, if it gains the same coverage as the 2025 Miami Driver’s Parade and the LEGO Trophies from last year’s British GP, it will widen the appeal of the sport.
