When Sony Animation’s K-Pop Demon Hunters hit Netflix in August 2025, it became an overnight phenomenon, dominating both streaming charts and music playlists. The Build & Features
Printed pieces for the win, there isn’t a sticker in sight. From Derpy’s big expressive eyes and speckled chest fur to Sussie’s multiple eyes and wings, every graphic detail is printed.
That includes the two 2×3 printed tile “messages.” By removing a section of Derpy’s lower teeth, you can insert a tongue piece to hold a message. These unused mouth sections can then be stored neatly inside a hidden compartment in the back of Derpy’s head.
Derpy features a rotating head, a posable tail, and slightly articulated front legs with just enough movement to knock over all manner of objects, including a buildable plant pot.
Built using the final bricks of bag seven, Derpy’s grumpy magpie companion is small but packed with personality. The tiny hat sitting over her judgmental, printed eyes perfectly captures her signature, annoyed stare.
The Verdict
While many fans are eagerly awaiting sets featuring minifigure or mini-dolls, Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird are a fantastic debut for this new theme. Printing the focal elements -especially Derpy’s massive eyes – was the right call, as misplaced stickers would have ruined the look. For a set produced on such a remarkably rapid timeline, it delivers immense charm. It’s a must-have for fans of the movie.
