There are rumours once again swirling around the future fate of LEGO® Games pioneers, TT Games. The latest rumours come via The Xbox Two, with documents supposedly seen suggesting Warner Bros. hope of selling off parts of its WB Games studios. The two studios mentioned include Mortal Kombat devs, NetherRealm Studios and TT Games. The latter has been creating LEGO titles since 2005 but haven’t released a title in nearly two years now, with LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker suffering numerous delays and currently has no release date. Recently Warner sold off Playdemic who was purchased by TT Games to help bring LEGO titles to mobile devices. Plus, key developers have left TT Games, including Arthur Parsons, who has set up a new studio 10:10 Games with TT Games founder Jon Burton. Before all of this, the new studio head Michael Denny was brought in to introduce a ‘new vision’ for TT Games. There are suggestions that TT games could be a target for Microsoft Game Studios. Although I doubt this will see the LEGO games become Xbox exclusives, the LEGO Group would not like to limit any potential audience for future titles.
