It’s go, no go for the recently revealed LEGO® Ulysses Space Probe VIP Reward Miniset. Originally listed in the press release for the upcoming LEGO NASA Space Shuttle Discovery set, before being featured in some VIP emails sent out today, it was assumed the promotion item would be available tomorrow. However, it’s now been confirmed by several interactions with LEGO Customer Support, that the set’s April 1st release has been pulled. There is a suggestion that a very small number of sets were produced for the European market so it’s been decided to yank the promotion in order to produce more sets and I assume stop another Porsche Owners Pack situation. Here’s the response I had from LEGO CS:
“Unfortunately, due to unexpected circumstances, we are not able to launch the new VIP reward Ulysses Space Probe on the 1st of April. We are working hard to make it available as soon as possible and we will let you know once we do”
The NASA Space Shuttle Discovery will still launch as planned tomorrow and don’t forget there will be a new VIP Collectible Coin arriving in the Rewards Centre as well.
