TT Games currently have a number of roles advertised which confirm they are working on a new LEGO® Games title and it will be based on ‘an exciting new LEGO game based on a major IP’. This may seem obvious but recent events surrounding the development and delay of LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga have questioned TT Games’ involvement with future LEGO titles. Even more so with the merger between Warner Bros. and Discovery. But it seems TT Games will still be playing a key role in creating LEGO Games, with rumours suggesting WB Games have signed a new deal with the LEGO Group to continue developing LEGO titles. What that game will be is unknown but after the success of LEGO Star Wars and the continued popularity of LEGO Marvel, it’s possible it could focus on the MCU Infinity Saga or it could be kept ‘in-house’ by focusing on Warner Bros’ Harry Potter universe. This new game and any future titles from TT Games Studios will also be created using the Unreal Engine in place of the custom NTT Engine, which should speed up development. TT Games won’t be the only studio creating LEGO Games, rumours and a recently revealed polybag suggest 2K are developing LEGO sports games. Plus Light Brick Studios have another game in the works.
