On Tuesday ClicTime revealed their new range of Minifigure Clocks and Buildable Watches based on The LEGO NINJAGO Movie. Characters include both Lloyd and Kai kitted out in their ninja outfits and ready to call time on Lord Garmadon. Our friends at ClicTime have kindly sent us a couple of these new products to take a closer look at. So for our first review of The LEGO NINJAGO Movie timepieces from ClicTime, we’re taking a look at the Lloyd Minifigure Clock.

There are many interesting LEGO branded products on the market but on of the most interesting is the range of timepieces from ClicTime. In particular their long running line of Minifigure Alarm Clocks. These oversized character clocks are perfect upscaled versions of the much-loved LEGO Minifigure. To coincide with the release of The LEGO NINJAGO Movie ClicTime have released two new Minifigures clocks including the one we are looking at here, Lloyd.
Lloyd looks exactly like his mini counterpart, apart from a digital LCD panel housed within the torso of the Minifigure. This is where the clocks digital display is located, as you can see from the image above in normal mode the panel is grey, then when you push down Lloyd’s head, the panel glows green for a few seconds. I like how the light-up colour matches Lloyd’s ninja outfit.
As with all Minifigure clocks, the controls can be found on the rear of the clock. They are really simple to use especially for setting an alarm. The alarm time is located on in the bottom right-hand corner of LCD panel and can switched on simply with a slide of a switch.
Just like the actual Minifigures, the clocks also have similar points of articulation. Both the legs and arms move in the same way as the Minifigures, as do the hands. This allows for plenty of posing options. Despite the larger scale of the clock, it really is a perfect recreation of the LEGO Minifigure, with Lloyd’s colouring and print detail perfectly captured. Only slight niggle is the battery panel features the general NINJAGO logo, instead of the movie version.
Overall
One of my favourite pieces of The LEGO Batman Movie merchandise was the excellent Robin Minifigure Alarm clock and Lloyd is just as good. I’d really be interested to see how they are designed alongside the LEGO sets on which they are based. The detail and quality is consistence with what you’d expect from an officially licensed LEGO product. It’s the perfect way to countdown the days until The LEGO NINJAGO Movie is released this October.
