New Plans For LEGOLAND Windsor Haunted House

As we reported last year, LEGOLAND® Windsor is set to benefit from a number of improvements over the next few years. One of the oldest of these proposed additions to the park is the Haunted House. Plans for the new attraction were submitted a few years ago before be rejected due to objections from local residents. New plans were finally approved last year, although it was unclear when work on the ride would begin, after missing its initial timeframe. The ride was originally set to be a copy of the one featured in Billund’s LEGOLAND, which is dubbed Ghost – The Haunted House. This is a ‘drop tower’ ride similar to Alton Towers’ Nemesis: Sub Terra, in which visitors walk-though a themed area before being seated in an area when then drops. However plans have been resubmitted, which show the ride has now become a ‘spinning room’ experience similar to Hex: The Legend of Towers at Alton Towers. The attraction will still sit between Coast Guard HQ and Atlantis, although theming will now be more generic instead of being based around the LEGO® Monster Fighters theme.
