As a brand new version of the LEGO® Disney Castle is revealed, the product page suggests the run of sets could be quite the collector’s edition. The product page for the new set states “Disney 100 Collector’s Edition – For a limited time only, look for this set in exclusive packaging”. This could mean the set may be repackaged in the future without the Disney 100 branding. The first LEGO version of Walt Disney World’s iconic royal centrepiece was released in 2016 and remained on sale for just over 6 years so it would make sense this updated version will have a similar shelf life. Thus the continued use of Disney 100 branding wouldn’t make sense in a few years’ time. Although based on the same Disney Parks landmark, the new Disney Castle features over 750 additional elements, a different colour scheme and 8 characters including many of them appearing in minifigure form for the first time. So if you like owning special versions of LEGO sets, you may want to pick up the set as soon as it’s released. The new LEGO Disney Castle will launch early for VIP members on July 1st.
