Several gaming-themed LEGO® sets have been released early in North America. These include two of the new Super Mario Expansion Sets, one of the new Sonic the Hedgehog sets and two new LEGO Minecraft sets. These join the LEGO Ideas Orient Express, Natural History Museum modular and the LEGO Botanical Tiny Plants sets. They will launch globally on January 1st. It seems the LEGO Group are experimenting with different release dates for sets.
