Mojang’s Minecraft games celebrates its 15th anniversary this year and the popular survival crafting game has a long history with the LEGO Group. It inspired one of the first LEGO® CUUSOO sets, the predecessor to the LEGO Ideas theme, and has seen a steady release of sets since 2012. All three Minecraft titles have inspired sets including the base game, Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Legends. It appears there could be a further source of inspiration as Netflix has announced an animated Minecraft series. The series is being animated by WildBrain, the same studio which animates NINJAGO: Dragons Rising. The Minecraft series will include an original story set within the world of Minecraft.
