Perfect for the younger fan, as the watch can grow with them. Better still if you have any of ClicTime’s other kids LEGO watches, the links included with those of fully compatible. Allowing you to be creative with your colour schemes and blending them together to create a unique watch.
The easy to read watch face, features an image of BB-8 on the dusty planet of Jakku, along with the LEGO Star Wars logo, all surrounded by a blue dial and of course those all important numbers, which come in handy when telling the time, you’d be surprise how many of watches don’t have numbers. The outer casing of the watch is made from a strong poly-carbonate, with the watch face covered with a scratch-resistant mineral crystal lens.
Most of the kids LEGO Watches feature a unique Minifigure link. This is normally made of trio of joined section which have a Minifigure inlayed across them. The BB-8 version is split across two links to account for BB-8’s shorter size. As you can see below the Minifigure looks just like LEGO counterpart, but is much smaller. This smaller size means the print detail is slightly less defined and the orange colouring is ever so slightly lighter. The BB-8 Buildable watch is the perfect size for younger LEGO fans, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be enjoyed by bigger kids as well.
Overall
Being able to share your love of LEGO in various ways is always great fun, but the LEGO watches are a particularly cool way to express your look of LEGO. The colour scheme of the BB-8 watch is very striking and the use of pearl coloured for one of the links is a nice addition. The clock face is nice and easy to read but a very special mention must go to the second hand, that constantly ticking sweeping hand may be small but it has a very funky little detail, a tiny Rebel insignia, a small but very cool addition to a great little watch.
