Far away from Ninjago City, a village is terrorized by a mysterious new threat when they’re saved by a stranger with incredible powers. That stranger is Garmadon, who stars in a brand new LEGO® comic book series from Skybound and AMEET. The very first issue of LEGO NINJAGO: GARMADON #1 will debut this Wednesday and will expand the legends of NINJAGO beyond the playsets, TV series and books. The story begins with a brief look back at Garmadon’s history including his attempts to take control of Ninjago City, the birth of his son, Lloyd the green ninja and his ultimate sacrifice and his surprise return. But the story of the the comic doesn’t just tread previously told adventures, this is an all-new story, which expands on the character of Garmadon and the woder world of NINJAGO.
The art style blends the minifigure of characters with ‘normal’ environments, in a similar fashion to the TV show. It also introduces a new fraction of bad guys in the form of the Red Crows. They seem to have sprung up from the ashes of the Sons of Garmadon. So for NINJAGO fans it really is an essential read, adding to the already rich history of the much-loved LEGO theme. LEGO NINJAGO: Garmadon #1 is released this Wednesday and is available as a physical comic with various althernate covers and you can also download the digital version on platforms inclding Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, comiXology, and Google Play. The series is written and drawn by Tri Vuong and published by Skybound in parthership with AMEET and LEGO Books.
