The pack includes the watch face, clasp links, 18 links and a special Minifigure link, based on the ninja characters from the latest series of the LEGO NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu TV series. These pieces not only allow you to build your watch, but also acts as an easy watch to ensure the watch fits any wrist size. Perfect for the younger fan, as the watch grow with them. But it also means the can be made to fit adult wrists as well. If you can any of ClicTime’s other kids LEGO watches released in recent years, then links included with those are fully compatible. Allowing you to be build all sorts of crazy combinations.

The watch face, although small, is easy to read and features images of Lloyd or Kai depending on which watch you buy. These images show the characters in their Dragon Hunters outfits, which can be seen in the most recent series of the TV show (which still hasn’t appeared on UK screens) and the newest range of LEGO playsets. Just like LEGO bricks, the material the watch is made from is pretty hard wearing. With the main casing made from a strong polycarbonate and the lens made from a scratch-resistant acrylic.

As well as the all important watch face and links, each watch also includes a special minifigure link. These are smaller versions of Kai or Lloyd, again in their Dragon Hunters outfits. These are smaller than an actual minifigure but just as detailed. You’ll also find a few printed links, these are a fairly recent addition to the buildable watches and add a extra level of detail. One of the issues I’ve found with some of the other LEGO buildable watches, were the clasps links were a little tricky to open. Even more so for smaller hands, but a new pop ‘n’ clip clasp has been introduced with the last few watches and they are way easier to use.

Overall

The ability to build your watch is definitely novel but nicely in keeping the LEGO brand. These new NINJAGO themed designs are a fun addition to the range. Even though a different build system is used compared to that of the standard LEGO bricks, the links, watch faces and Minifigure links are all compatible with each other. They can be combined with any other LEGO Buildable watch released in recent years. Meaning you can create a truly unique timepiece.

You can add both of the new LEGO NINJAGO Dragon Hunters Buildable Watch to your collection now. They are available directly from ClicTime, in John Lewis & Partners stores, online from Amazon and from shop.LEGO.com.
