The brand new LEGO® magazine from Immediate Media is proving a little hard to find, but I finally have a copy of the Hidden Side magazine. So it’s time to take a closer look at the latest addition to the popular LEGO magazine line-up. The Hidden Side is the latest story-driven theme from the LEGO Group. It follows the adventures of budding ghost hunters Jack and Parker, who with a little help from scientist JB, travel around Newbury and uncover the spooky Hidden Side and it’s gloomy gang of ghosts.
The LEGO Hidden Side magazine follows the same format as other LEGO Magazines. So it’s features puzzles, comics and information on the Hidden Side’s various characters. I love the artwork of the Hidden Side, which you’ll find plenty of in the magazine. The comic strip illustration is a rough around the edges, but I sure younger readers won’t mind too much. The highlight of LEGO Magazines are the cover-mounted LEGO free gifts.
The first issue includes a Minifigure of Jack Davids, one of the main characters from the theme. The version of the Minifigure included isn’t exactly exclusive. In fact it’s the same as the one included in the Ghost Lab and Ghost Train sets. With the addition of a selfie stick from El Fuego’s Stunt Truck. The magazine is the cheapest way to own the Minifigure
As a brand new magazine, there will be a new issue every month. In issue 2 you’ll get an exclusive Hidden Side Minifigure, which isn’t available in any of the sets. The Haunted Pizza Boy will feature two heads, one normal and one gloomed as well as a pizza box and meat cleaver. LEGO Hidden Side magazine issue 2 will be available from November 6th. You’ll find the current issue in stores now, priced at £3.99.
