The Essential Collection doesn’t offer anything new in terms of books but it does include an exclusive new minfigure, not found anywhere else. The Books
The LEGO Batman Movie Essential Collection features content from two previously published titles from DK Books. This includes The LEGO Batman Movie Essential Guide and part of the The LEGO Batman Movie Ultimate Sticker Collection. The LEGO Batman Movie Essential Guide goes behind the scenes and discover everything there is to know about The LEGO Batman Movie. From Robin to Batgirl, it covers all of the heroes, villains, vehicles and locations from the movie, as well as showcasing many of the sets and minifigures from The LEGO Batman Movie range.
The second book included in the set is partly taken from the Ultimate Sticker Collection. The Rogues and Villains Sticker Book includes over 150 stickers themed around the bad guys and gals from the city of Gotham. With a couple of pages for you to complete with the corresponding stickers.
The Minifigure
The greatest appeal of this new book pack is most definitely the exclusive Penguin minifigure, featured in the Arkham Asylum orange jumpsuit. He’s one of only a couple of the Rogue’s Gallery, not to be included in set 70912: Arkham Asylum. He features the same orange torso as the rest of the inmates, which includes the Arkham logo on the rear and also includes short orange legs along with The Penguin’s trademark top hat, umbrella and furry collar element.
Overall
If you already the books included in the pack, you’ll not be getting anything new from the ones here, so the exclusive minifigure is most certainly going to be the biggest draw for many, in particular to those who have the Arkham Asylum set as the addition of The Penguin in the orange Arkham jumpsuit completes the current line-up.
