Introducing LEGO Brick Separator Replay

Most LEGO® fans who purchase a ‘couple’ of sets here and there will most likely be drowning under a sea of Brick Separators. These infamous tools help to dislodge bricks, pry away studs and even come in handy when applying stickers. But there are only so many you can use at once. This is why it’s been announced today there will be a Brick Separator Replay initiative. LEGO fans with a healthy store of the Brick Separators will be able to send them back to the LEGO Group and exchange them for various LEGO goodies. For example, 100 Brick Separators will bag you a special VIP Brick Separator print and 200 will bestow upon you an exclusive Brick Separator keychain. You’ll also be able to exchange spare tools for VIDIYO sets, VIDIYO prints and VIDIYO addias clothing.

Returned Brick Separators will find a new life in future LEGO sets, as they will be recycled to create plastic granules used in the production of new LEGO elements. The scheme will work in a similar way to the LEGO Replay service offered in North America. You’ll be able to send your unwanted separators back using a prepaid label, once returned you’ll then receive a special code to redeem on the VIP Rewards Centre to claim you’re exciting goodies.

Head of Brick Separation, Løfte-en Mursten revealed “we are super excited to be giving all those unloved Brick Separators a new lease of life and for LEGO fans to gain from their return, but we recommend keeping a few dozen to hand in case you ever need some bricks separating”

The initiative is set to launch later this year, learn more below.

Check the attic and basement: Replay will now take any unused LEGO Brick Separators and give fans VIP rewards

Billund, Denmark, April 1, 2022: Today, The LEGO Group announced the launch of LEGO® Brick Separator Replay, a new program that will accept any unloved brick separators and turn them into VIP rewards.

The process is simple: collect any spare LEGO bricks separators place them into a cardboard box and visit this website to print out a free return label. The package will be sent to the newly created brick separator recycling facility, where each brick separator will be sorted, inspected by hand, and given a rigorous cleaning, before being shredded into millions of pieces and turned into exciting new LEGO sets.

Mursten and his team spent the past five years working on the project to ensure the VIP rewards were tempting enough for LEGO builders to part with any of the extra brick separators. The first set of special rewards will include a highly collectable VIP brick separator keyring, a special VIP LEGO Originals print and the chance to get some of the highly sought after LEGO VIDIYO sets.

LEGO Replay has previously been used to help unused LEGO bricks to be distributed to new builders and is one of the many sustainable and philanthropic efforts the LEGO Group has announced in the past year. Recent efforts include Plants from Plants, LEGO Braille Bricks and LEGO Audio & Braille Instructions.
