For many Christmas is a time for giving and it’s also time for a tracking down a bargain or two. So when looking for the perfect present at the best price, you could be tempted to shop with places you haven’t before. In recent times there has been a rise in websites selling LEGO® sets at amazingly cheap prices. They are particularly prolific on Facebook. But almost all of these sites claiming to have LEGO sets and cheaper than expected prices are fake and a scam. There is a currently a thread over on the BricksFanz Facebook page, asking about a particular site. Despite being advised not to buy through that site, people have and have not received any products but had their money taken. Those lucky enough to get something in the post, will find it to be non-LEGO branded products from fake clone brands.
The rules are simple only buy from trusted retailers such as LEGO.com, Amazon, Zavvi, Smyths Toys, John Lewis and the like. Also if the price is too good to be true, than it isn’t and will always be fake building sets. These sites are clever, as they use the proper images of real LEGO sets and add other fake details to their webpages. So don’t get scammed this Christmas. I know LEGO can be expensive but you are getting a high quality product, which has been safety tested and expertly crafted to be used with all other LEGO bricks from the last 60 years. Plus there are many real LEGO sets discounted at many of the retailers listed above.
