Every year the LEGO Group gifts each of their employees a very special festive LEGO® set. The process starts in April, with various LEGO designers pitching their ideas for what the special set could be. Then Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, grandson of the founder of LEGO, picks his favourite. This year’s set has been created by Carl Merriam and the theme of this year’s gift is 40 years of LEGO Minifigures. As well as LEGO employees being gifted this special set, the LEGO Community Team worked their magic to extend to festive cheer to LEGO Ambassadors. Who each got the set earlier this month. So as a festive treat, here’s a closer look at the 2018 LEGO Employee Gift. I’ll like to take this opportunity to once again thank LEGO for their continue support and generosity.
The set features a large-scale brick-built Santa Minifigure, with a sleigh and reindeer. Plus a cargo of three special presents and a sugarcane plastic tree. Those trio of gifts each contain a retro Minifigure, making the entire set a perfect celebration of both Christmas and the 40th Anniversary of LEGO Minifigures.
