As a recognised media outlet, BricksFanz gets access to various press releases for almost all new LEGO® set reveals. For many years now various new LEGO set press packs have been accompanied by a fabled folder of images simply known as ‘Lifestyle’. These wondersome visuals portray LEGO sets in the wilds of the home, be they neatly sitting on a shelf, hanging out on a desk or cheerfully spread across the floor as if thrown in a fit of rage. These images are often overlooked but they can sometimes offer some enlightening treats, such as a nod to other sets. But one trait I’ve enjoyed is literally enlightening – lamps. The lifestyle images seem to have access to an endless stream of lighting. Here are some of my favourites.

You have to admit, the array of lamps used in the Lifestyle images are impressive. None have any relevance to the LEGO sets they are sitting next to, yet each is different. Also, where do the photographers find all these stylise homes and as an added bonus, why is there a random Stormtrooper hanging out in a living room drinking a takeaway coffee?
