Disney D23 Expo Day One Round-up

Although not directly related to the world of LEGO®, Disney and the LEGO Group have a deep partnership and some of the reveals coming out of the event’s first day may influence future LEGO products. Day one of the ultimate fan event has given us new trailers, including the first look at the upcoming Star Wars Disney+ series, Skeleton Crew. There were also several announcements and details on future projects including a new Tron film, a live-action Lilo & Stitch and much more. Check out the trailers below. As other announcements merely focused on descriptions or attendee-only footage I’ll just list brief details for those.

Star Wars

  • Skeleton Crew arrives on Disney+ December 3rd
  • Andor Season 2 will include characters from Rogue One including Krennic and K2-SO
  • Mandalorian & Grogu feature film could revisit classic Star Wars locations like Hoth and feature characters from Rebels

Marvel

  • Most Marvel announcements mirror those from Comic-Con, learn more here

Pixar

  • Incredible 3 film announced
  • Dream Productions announced which is a Disney+ spin-off from the world of Inside-Out
  • Upcoming projects include Toy Story 5, a new film called Hopper and Elio

Disney

  • Snow White, Tron: Ares, Lilo & Stitch and Mufasa have all previously been announced but will be the focus for Dsieny over the next few months and into 2025.
  • There’s a Monster Jam movie in the works based on the popular US monster truck stunt show

20th Century Studios

  • Avatar returns will Fire and Ash, which continues the story of Pandora
