The world’s largest LEGO® Store is set to open in Australia and it now has an opening date. LEGO fans down under will be able to visit the new store from November 11th, with the store opening its door at 9:30 am. The new 900 square metre store will be opening in Sydney Aracde and takes the crown from Leicester Square store. Once open, the Sydney Arcade LEGO Store will become Australia’s flagship store and will offer several in-store experiences including Australia’s first LEGO Minifigure Factory, along with a Pick-a-Brick wall, play zones and plenty of large-scale LEGO builds to enjoy. Not wanting to take anything away from the new store in Sydney. But, it’s a LEGO Certified store. It’s operated by a third party and not directly by The LEGO Group.
Where it may very well be the largest store selling nothing but LEGO it’s not a LEGO Brand Retail Store. These, as you will be aware, are stores directly operated by the LEGO Group and, as such, the employees are all part of the LEGO Company. Employees in Certified Stores are employees of the third party operating the store on behalf of LEGO.
The worlds largest LEGO Brand Retail Store is and will still be the Leicester Square store in London, even when the new store opens in Sydney.
