BrickLink will be giving fans another means of being able to build some of their favourite BrickLink Designer Program submissions which don’t make it through to the official selection. The BrickLink Designer Program is a way for LEGO® fans to share their creations and get them turned into BrickLink Series sets. It’s similar to LEGO Ideas, but BDP sets have a limited production run, feature digital instructions and are chosen from a wider range of creations submitted through BrickLink. A new feature is being tested by BrickLink called the MOC Pop-up Store. This will allow some of the fan-created builds previously submitted to the BrickLink Designer Program but were not picked as one of the 5 finalists in each of BDP Series.
The BrickLink team will invite some of the previous BDP submissions to become part of the MOC Pop-up Store. Chosen builders can then sell their instructions via BrickLink and the process will also collate all the required elements from a combination of the BrickLink marketplace seller and the LEGO Pick a Brick service. The process is being made as easy as possible for both the fan designers and those who wish to build their creations. Obviously, this process will not see builds provided in unique packaging and prices will vary depending on the availability of elements. Learn more about the BrickLink MOC Pop-up Store here.
