LEGO Star Wars, PAC-MAN, Blacktron and Speed Champions in Blocks magazine Issue 105
Blocks magazine Issue 105 is packed with LEGO features, including Star Wars Return of the Jedi set reviews, a look inside the new PAC-MAN Arcade, amazing Vignweek MOCs and a look at what ‘Only the best is good enough’ really means.
Issue 105 is available worldwide as a single issue or as part of a subscription at blocksmag.com and will be in UK stores from July 6.
Anyone who takes out a print subscription between now and Sunday (July 2) will also get extra FREE items – a 12 month subscription gets you a FREE copy of 100 Incredible LEGO Builds special one-off mag and a 24 month subscription ALSO gets you a FREE Blocks 100 poster. That’s in addition to all of the usual discounts and benefits.
To sweeten the deal even further, everyone who subscribes by August 2 will be in with a chance of winning LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series 75355 X-wing Starfighter.
You can learn the secrets behind 10323 PAC-MAN Arcade and 21340 Tales of the Space Age, with the model designers providing insight into how they were developed. On the topic of designers, Blocks pays tribute to LEGO legend Jørn Thomsen, who passed away earlier this year. There’s a very good chance you own more than one set he worked on.
What does ‘Only the best is good enough’ really mean? The LEGO motto is put under the spotlight to understand its context beyond the very literal translation.
Liam Jensen speaks about his Brick Classicists project, an initiative to make the ancient world more accessible with the help of the smiling minifigure template. Someone else with a passion for the past is Indiana Jones – and Mod Squad shows you how to build a plane for the adventurer to complement 77012 Fighter Plane Chase.
There’s also a guide to Vignweek, one of the LEGO community’s toughest contests. You can find out what goes into building a new scene every day for a week and find inspiration in the impressive entries that fans have created.
Within the 116 page magazine you’ll also find reviews of LEGO Star Wars: Return of the Jedi sets, a look at LEGOLAND’s Ferrari Build and Race, a nostalgic look at Blacktron and much more.
