Throughout December LEGO® has tasked people to get creative and build a Christmas decoration and share it online as a part of the #BuildToGive campaign. The LEGO Group have already been donating LEGO sets, which have been delivered by Fairy Bricks to sick kids across the UK. Today is the last day of the campaign but you can still get involved. Grab your bricks, get building and share your creation on social media using the special #BuildToGive hashtag by the end of today. So if you haven’t shared your creation yet, get involved today and help bring the joy of LEGO to those who need it most the Christmas. Full details below.
This Christmas LEGO UK is inviting families to join them in their national #BuildToGive campaign, where you can channel your creativity and let your imagination run wild in order to build your very own LEGO Christmas decoration!
From beautiful baubles to quirky windowsill decorations, for every dazzling design built or shared, LEGO will gift a LEGO set to a local children’s hospital, to help spread joy and merriment in the lead up to Christmas!
LEGO have pledged to donate up to 20,000 LEGO gifts nationwide, working in partnership with children’s charity Fairy Bricks.
The team at Fairy Bricks aim to visit over 100 hospitals throughout the UK and their army of elf-like helpers will be on hand delivering the LEGO gifts to the thousands of children who will be spending this Christmas in hospital.
So, how to get involved?
If you haven’t been able to visit a LEGO Brand Store or one of the Shopping Centre Tour events then there is still time to get involved at home. All you need is some LEGO bricks and lots of imagination. Get building at home and share a photo of your fabulous festive decoration with the hashtag #BuildToGive. For every photo uploaded the LEGO Group will match it with a LEGO set donation.
