It’s time for another showcase of some of the cool and interesting projects currently vying for votes on LEGO® Ideas. The platform continues to be a source of some impressive build skills and has given us an equally impressive selection of sets, in recent months those have included The A-Frame Cabin and BTS Dynamite sets plus the upcoming Tales of the Space Age set. So it’s once again time to showcase some of my favourite LEGO Ideas projects which deserve to be highlighted. If you like what you see, follow the links and get voting. If a project reaches the magic number of 10,000 votes it could become a future LEGO set. There are also various stages of vote thresholds, which activates expended time for when projects can remain active on LEGO Ideas. Giving them a better chance of getting to 10k. So let’s take a look at some of my favourite LEGO Ideas projects at the moment. There’s an impressive mix of original creations and those inspired by popular characters or brands.
THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR – Support Here
The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a truly classic children’s book. First published over 50 years ago, it still remains a popular story and one which spans different generations. The Ideas project perfectly captures the look of the peckish caterpillar and even includes buildable versions of some of the fruits he munches on.
SEA TURTLE – Support Here
What I love about this project is how much detail it features. It looks like a majestic turtle you’d see in the ocean. The detail also makes it look like it would be a fun set to build. Plus it would make an interesting display piece.
SMALL SHRIMPING BOAT – Support Here
The possibility of a Jaws set seems more and more improbable but this rustic little boat evokes memories of the Orca. The quaint-looking boat may seem small but packs in plenty of little details.
THE A-TEAM: DOUBLE HEAT – Support Here
We’ve already had the legendary B.A. Baracus in LEGO form thanks to LEGO Dimensions, but the legendary 80s TV show is crying out for something more substantial. The action-packed show is the perfect fit for LEGO. The members of the A-Team are expert builders, they drive a cool-looking van and despite being blown up, no one ever died. I pity the fool, who doesn’t vote for this project.
UNIVERSAL MONSTERS – CLASSIC MONSTER COLLECTION – Support Here
The iconic monsters introduced to a wider audience thanks to Universal Pictures’ classic horror films, still hold up today. This project not only celebrates the films but also each of the monsters who star in them. This project would fit nicely in with various film diorama sets.
THE BEGINNING OF THE LEGO HISTORY (90TH ANNIVERSARY) – Support Here
The LEGO Group started from humble beginnings. The family home of the founders of LEGO still stands in Billund today, where it’s been incorporated into the LEGO Idea House museum. This project expertly recreates the Christiansen family house, marking a special place for LEGO fans.
