With nearly 200 characters released since LEGO® BrickHeadz were introduced, it’s taken until now to finally get a version of the famed Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. After the fall of the Jedi following Order 66, Obi-Wan is sent into hiding where he also watches over a young Luke Skywalker on Tatooine. It’s this version of Kenobi, which is featured in the upcoming Star Wars double pack which also includes Darth Vader. But it can easily act as the base for an older version of Kenobi.
Using this parts list below, you can simply switch out the Dark Orange elements used for the hair to Medium Stone Grey or Light Blueish Grey to capture Ben’s aged appearance. There are two ways to do this, one-to-one switching of elements or by slightly tweaking to hair as older Kenobi has much shorter hair than his younger self. To do this I’ve added a 1×4 flat tile against a strip of 4 cheese slopes on the bottom two rows of studs found on the back of the head.
As you can see, these slight changes help to create the version of Obi-Wan Kenobi we first meet in 1977’s Star Wars Episode IV – A New Hope. Perfect for his final showdown with Darth Vader. You can also read my review of the original set here. Thanks to Robin for the idea to create old Ben Kenobi.
