Great LEGO Sets To Build Together

With the nights drawing in and a chill filling the air, many of us will be spending a lot more time in the warmth of our homes. This offers the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with family and friends. You could watch a film or play a board game, even stare at your phone in silence but why not get creative and build a LEGO® set together. The concept of being able to build a single set with others is slowly being introduced into some LEGO sets, whilst others naturally lend themselves well to being able to be built by multiple people at the same time.

The best sets which can be built with others are those with multiple instructions booklets. For example, the recently released LEGO ART Projects Create Together set features multiple booklets meaning everyone can build an image or part of the bigger image at the same time. However, Hogsmede Village hasn’t been designed as a multiple builders set, but each building has its own instruction booklet, which also allows two people to build in unison.

Another option to turn a set into a social build is the addition of a smart device and the LEGO Building Instructions app. This offers both enhanced instructions and simple PDFs of the booklets found in sets. Using this method is best suited to sets that aren’t focused on a single structure for example the Birds of Paradise or the Eternals ship. Although both use a single instruction booklet, with access to two copies of them, more than one person can tackle different aspects of the build. As someone builds the vase of the Birds of Paradise set or the main Eternals ship, someone else can start on the foliage or build the Deviants.

So whether it’s a night in, date night or a festive gathering, why not spread the joy of building LEGO with others. LEGO building can often be seen as a solo endeavour but with the right sets, you can enjoy it with others. Here are a few sets that are either designed to be built with others or have multiple instruction booklets, there are many others and next year expect plenty more such as the Lunar New Year Traditions set.
