After getting coverage ready for all the new releases tomorrow, I popped over to the Australian LEGO® store to see if anything else has been added and stumbled upon something odd. A very, very tiny image is displayed in the banner area under the yellow section tab. This shows a promotional offer tagged ‘ VIPs: FREE Gift for Children’s Day*” the image shows a set I’ve not seen before. A little digging seems to suggest it’s called a Swing Ship set and looks like a very tiny Pirate Ship ride often found at funfairs or theme parks, it also appears to feature a plaque. Unfortunately, no other information is available beyond it appears to be a VIP only set and it celebrates Children’s Day. Clicking the banner leads nowhere, it’s not in the Offers tab or on the VIP section of LEGO.com. International Children’s Day isn’t until November, although national Children’s Day varies by country. For example, UK’s is next month and Denmark’s in June. It’s possible the set could be exclusive to the APAC region. Check out the best image I could get of the VIP Swing Ship below.
