UK LEGO® fans can now pop along to their local LEGO stores and actually go inside them as the next wave of lockdown restrictions are lifted. This means that non-essential retailers can reopen, those include LEGO stores and LEGOLAND Discovery stores. There will obviously be a few new rules to follow when shopping in stores, including wearing a fave covering, using hand sanitiser stations, limiting the number of people in stores and touching products. I would assume Pick-a-Brick walls and Minifigure Build Stations will also be off-limits, with staff providing access to these services. Expect to be treated to some older promotional items with some stores having stock of old GWP from before lockdown. There’s also Double Points in Brand Stores. Don’t forget to stay safe and be mindful of others when out and about.

At Leicester Square there was a fairly small queue at 11am but by the time we left it was growing rapidly! LEGO staff were restricting the numbers of shoppers allowed into the store and I estimate there were no more than 40 adults/children over the two floors.
The store had a great selection of sets including the bonsai tree and bouquet of flowers as well as all the latest sets!
We felt safe as all shoppers are required to wear face coverings and LEGO had supplied hand sanitizers everywhere!

Footnote:
The Build a Minifigure Tower has a selection of pre-made minifigures. The PAB is out of bounds to all but staff. The mosaic maker is not accessible and the Minifigure Factory was limited to two build stations.
