As it’s my birthday and more importantly a chance to eat cake, it’s the perfect time to check out the LEGO® Birthday Book from Centum and Ameet. The book has been available for a while, but has only started to appear here in the UK. As the name suggests, the book is themed around birthday celebrations and includes a Minifigure, stickers and a rather neat Happy Birthday banner. So let’s blow out the candles and take a closer look

The Book
The book follows is in a similar format to the various LEGO annuals which appear each Christmas. Just like those the Birthday Book is filled with puzzles, comic strips and other things to do. All of these are beautifully illustrated with LEGO pieces and Minifigures. The illustration used in these book really are nicely done and they aren’t shoddy looking like some LEGO drawings can be. I certainly prefer them from just using stock images of LEGO.
One of the neat things included in the book is a Happy Birthday Banner, featuring those wonderful LEGO illustrations. This is something which can be used for numerous Birthday celebrations.
The Minifigure
The book includes elements to make either a male or female Minifigure. This isn’t really exclusive and the customisation is limited with only two hair pieces and heads, but it’s a nice addition to the book. There is also a small buildable present and star wand accessory included.
Overall
The various Ameet created LEGO books are always nice to look at, thanks to all those lovely bespoke illustrations; they really add to the books appeal. The content is fun and in keeping with the fun nature of the LEGO brand, with puzzles and comics offering plenty of fun for younger LEGO fans. Plus the minifigure is a decent addition, but my favourite thing is the Birthday Banner. The book is obviously aimed at younger LEGO fans but would make a nice present for any LEGO fan on their Birthday. You’ll find the LEGO Birthday Book online from selected retailers and Amazon.
