Building Batman The Comic-Con Big Build

Happy Batman Day, and this years it’s a rather special one as the Caped Crusader celebrates 80 years. Earlier this year the LEGO® celebrations began at San Diego Comic-Con, where a life-sized version of the Dark Knight was created for display. Standing at 6.5ft tall, the brick-built Batman is made of 44,051 bricks and took 270 hours to build. But that’s not all, accompanying Batman was a brick-built mural of the Detective Comics #1,000 variant comic book cover. This is made from 97,768 pieces and is over 10ft tall. You can see how LEGO Master Model Builders created this impressive display in the video below.
