Happy Batman Day, and this years it’s a rather special one as the Caped Crusader celebrates 80 years. Earlier this year the LEGO® celebrations began at San Diego Comic-Con, where a life-sized version of the Dark Knight was created for display. Standing at 6.5ft tall, the brick-built Batman is made of 44,051 bricks and took 270 hours to build. But that’s not all, accompanying Batman was a brick-built mural of the Detective Comics #1,000 variant comic book cover. This is made from 97,768 pieces and is over 10ft tall.
