By now you will have most likely given the LEGO® Rebuild The World video a watch. If you have you may have also noticed a few familiar looking things throughout the fun new advertisement. The video is filled with plenty of nods to the long history of the LEGO brands. But have you spotted them all? Here’s a round-up of all the ones I’ve found, if you have seen anymore let us know in the comment.
The video opens with a hunter giving chase to a little white rabbit, the first obvious Easter Egg here is the oversized bow and arrow, based on the slightly smaller version found in many LEGO sets from Castle to NINJAGO. Plus there’s a older style Land Rover in the background.
Next up as the hunter chases the rabbit into the city he passes by a lady wearing a blue top, which has the Classic Space logo on it. Her hairstyle also changes in an instant, just like you can do with Minifigures. There is also a scooter, which looks very much like the LEGO one.
A trio of familiar looking doors, based on old style LEGO door elements, offer a hiding place for the rabbit. As the hunter opens one, he is faces by multi-coloured bricks; which look very much like classic 2×4 bricks.
The next door features a rather smelly toilet, which have become a fun feature of numerous LEGO sets.
As the hunter takes cover from a huge green dragon, he backs up against a mural of LEGO flat tile elements. There is also a Mini Cooper poking into shot.
As the dragon stomps into the town square, you can spot a castle, a western saloon and a familiar barbers. Along with plenty of colourful buildings.
As the dragon blasts its fiery breath, the LEGO City Fire Department arrives to find a Caterham 7 on fire, with LEGO flames blazing. This of course is a nod to the LEGO Ideas set.
The Fire Crew are sporting the recently used yellow uniforms found on many of the LEGO City Firefighters. They surround a big red fire engine.
In the barber shop, one of the customers gets their head twisted around, in the same way a Minifigures head can be twisted.
As the hunter continues to give chase to the rabbit, they each jump into a mode of transport. The rabbit takes the Caterham and the a hunter jumps onto a Harley-Davidson Fatboy motorcycle.
As the chase continues we get plenty of fun Easter Eggs, firstly the pass a couple of humanoid animals, a nod to Fabuland. They are also drinking from oversized LEGO cups.
They have to come to a halt as a gang of ducks waddle into the road. These are a fun nod to a classic test given to LEGO employees. They are given six bricks and asked to build a duck. These elements can be combined in numerous ways to achieve a duck. A technique to show-off how versatile LEGO can be. There’s also a VW Camper parked up.
As a police car speeds down a twisted ramp, a building with a familiar looking roof can be seen. Someone like the LEGO House’s unique appearance.
As crowd has gathered on the steps of the town hall. There are plenty of Easter Eggs here. These include a surfer with board, construction worker, wrestlers and a little kid with a bear. All style after various Minifigures from LEGO sets.
With the chase taking to the sky, the hunter and rabbit, fly past the Tower of Big Ben, which is not only a LEGO set, but a key focal point in the LEGO Store in Leicester Square.
The rabbits lands his flying Caterham and in the background is a VW Camper and VW Beetle, topped with a surfboard.
As the ad comes to a close the hunter finally faces the rabbit, in the background is Al’s barbers from the Detective Office LEGO Creator Expert set and the real world sudden rebuilds into a complete brick-built one.
