If there is one thing us Brits like more than a cup of tea and scone, it’s a trip to the garden centre. For some it can even be a day out, with many funnily enough, having cafés selling tea and scones. Which leads me nicely to this delightful new LEGO Ideas project by John Cramp aka ‘Bricked1980’ creator of another LEGO® Ideas project The Old Workhorse Traction Engine. The Bricks & Blooms Garden Centre is a three-level building in the same style as the popular modular building. The ground level features the garden centre, with plenty of garden tools and plants on show. The next level is home to café, which can be accessed via a stairwell around the rear of the building and the upper level includes an aquatics department. It’s an amazing looking building and has all the hallmarks of an official modular building, including clever use of parts. I love the outside area of the building with an eye-catching store front and a cultivating area around the rear. I know the focus is the building but a special mention must go to the awesome little lawnmower. If you like what you see, then why not consider supporting the project on LEGO Ideas, where you can see even more images.
