As I conclude my series of reviews of the new LEGO® Disney Mickey & Friends set, the final set I’m taking a look at is the only one to not include Mickey. This set is one for the girls, with Minnie and Daisy on hand to enjoy an ice cream or two. The Ice Cream Shop set is interesting for a few reasons, it has two unique Minifigure, some material pieces and a number of rare or printed pieces elements. So for my final LEGO Disney Mickey & Friends set review, it’s time to cool down with 10772: Minnie’s Ice Cream Shop.

The set feels very much like a LEGO Friends set, which is partly due to its design and the palette of colours used. In fact, compared to the other sets in the range it’s difficult to tell what the Starter Brick is. Because of this, it doesn’t feel much like a 4+ set. It comprises of a small shop, chill-out area and a little car, along with a sign stand and a very, very small beach.
The Ice Cream Shop is less a shop and more a food stand. It uses a couple of interesting elements in particular the pick quarter domes, which are only found in this set. Although it’s a simple build, there are a couple of neat features, I like how a windscreen element makes the perfect frontage of the ice cream chiller. Inside the stand, there is a 2×4 sloped brick used for the till which is new for 2021 and not found in many sets. The most eye-catching part of the Ice Cream Shop is the huge bow on the roof. This is created from a piece of thick plastic material and it fitted to the roof with one of the new 1x2x2 bricks with a slot section on the front. These were introduced in the LEGO DOTS sets. In addition to the shop, there is a small sign section, which not only features the new Mickey symbol element but also a uniquely printed 2×4 flat plate.
Joining the Ice Cream Shop is a small seating area, which includes a lounger under a parasol. Although this umbrella element was first introduced in 2017, it’s only appeared in a handful of sets. It’s joined by the smallest possible piece of beach/sea. Although it has a crab sitting atop it, you can attach the surfboard to catch the smallest of waves.
The final buildable aspect of the set is a funky little car, which is where you will find the Starter Brick. Unlike other Starter Bricks, this one is actually made up of a couple of elements. There are two wheel bearing plates pre-attached to the vehicle base. This piece has featured in a number of Junior/4+ sets and acts as the base of a simple single-seater car. The front grill piece is uniquely printed for this set and helps to tie the cartoony look of the entire set.
As fun as the set is the main attraction is the pair of unique Minifigures. Minnie and Daisy have featured across LEGO Minifigure series and the large-scale D2C sets. Although Daisy looks similar to her other LEGO outings, she’s gained a material skirt and lost the tailpiece. Her torso is also unique to the set. Minnie, by comparison, is much more unique, again she has a material skirt, in place of the moulded one she’s worn in other sets. This combined well with the same patterned print detail on the torso. A similarly coloured bow would have tied her look up but the pink one used doesn’t look bad.
This is another nice little set, the Minifigures are great and I like the various unique pieces. It feels less like 4+ set compared to some to the other Mickey & Friends ones. The Minifigures aren’t as fun as some of the others but I do like that they are once again unique, in particular Minnie Mouse. So that concludes my reviews of all five LEGO Disney Mickey & Friends sets. The sets are available now in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and other selected countries. They will launch in North America on August 1st.
