All The Adult-focused LEGO Set So Far
“You know the rules, this isn’t a toy, no actually it’s a highly sophisticated inter-locking brick system” Yes, we all know that LEGO® is a toy, but there is a vast and ever-increasing adult community who adore those little plastic bricks, despite what the box says; after all “that’s a suggestion. They have to put that on there” The LEGO Group realised many years ago that adults loved LEGO...
LEGO & Disney Building A Magical Partnership
The LEGO Group have partnered with numerous iconic brands over the years, which has expanded the LEGO® building experience to include popular characters and worlds. Licensed sets have become an important aspect of LEGO product range, with a particular polarizing trip to a galaxy far, far away saving the fortunes of the Billund-based toymaker. But one particular partnership has stood the test of time and grown immensely in recent...
A Look At LEGO…. Fairgrounds
With the announcement of a new LEGO® fairground set, I thought it was the perfect time to take a look at some of the other sets which are part of the same style of sets. Most of them are a sub-theme of the Creator Expert line, although the Haunted House is part of the new ‘AFOL’ line. There are also a couple of LEGO City sets with a fairground twist. Plus sets from the Creator 3-in-1 and Hidden Side themes. There are many...
Amazing MOCs: DOTS Art Gallery
I follow various LEGO® groups on Facebook and over the past few days, this fun creation by builder Rollon Smith appeared and thought it deserved a share. Rollon’s MOC is inspired by the new LEGO DOTS elements and makes them the focus of an art gallery exhibit, turning them into mini pieces of art. The various 1×1 DOTS elements allow for some impressive patterns and colour combinations. Making the perfect little pieces to...
Minifigures Adventures In The Antarctic
Long before much of the world went into lockdown, a group of intrepid Minifigures spent their own time in isolation at the Concordia Station in the Antarctic Plateau. Every year, during the 9 month winter season with temperatures dropping to minus 80 degrees and months without sunlight, a human crew remains isolated at the station without any possibility of evacuation. This winter they were joined by a few extra crewmates, with a gang...
LEGO Modulars Once You Pop You Just Stop
Just before Christmas, I got to build my first ever LEGO® Creator Expert Modular set, as I reviewed this year’s latest addition to the popular line, the Bookshop. Before I was offered the Bookshop to review, I had planned a feature in which I built my first modular and I had chosen the Diner. The original plan was to do this ahead of the festive period but due to high season, the set only arrived a couple of weeks ago....
What Could The Future Hold For LEGO Games
2019 has been the first year in a long time, which has seen no LEGO® games released by TT Games. Their next title has been revealed as LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, but it has yet to get a release date beyond 2020. TT Games may have been a little quiet, but we have still seen LEGO titles releases by other developers. These have included a Speed Champions expansion for Forza Horizon 4, a LEGO-themed spin-off of Tiny Towers and...
