Back in February, LEGO® Ideas launched a challenge to create a set inspired by the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series Duel Monsters. From 100s of fan designed sets, five were chosen for the fan vote and now the winning design has been revealed. The winning set is ‘The Heart of the Cards – Exodia’ from fan designer Step-on-a-Brick. The set will now be tweaked by the LEGO Ideas Design Team and will be released as an official LEGO Ideas set next year. Yu-Gi-Oh! isn’t the only popular card game to inspire a LEGO Ideas set; there’s also a Pokémon Trading Card set on the way, but the winning design hasn’t been chosen yet.
